I want to take you for a journey to understanding social media. Lets get back to the year of 1971, this year the first email message was sent and this starts the era of social media. Yes, it happened so many years ago and you might think that social media started by the launch of Twitter, Facebook or MySpace and it’s a trend of the decade, but the fact is that the whole creation of the WWW was to bring people closer together – to socialize and that was the start of social media.
Social media is nothing new, but just now it’s being recognized as a real phenomena when all these giant SM sites have emerged. To understand social media better and of course to market there better I recommend to check out this timeline of social media.
