Are you selling just to make money or are you selling for a greater good?

Now you might be thinking what do I mean by greater good, but more about that a bit later.

If you are selling just to make money then selling is just a job for you and you might also perceive it as a bad thing, using some kind of emotional triggers to make people more likely to buy might seem unethical for you.

Your psychology of selling goes something like this: I have the product, if you really want it come and get it, I will be happy to collect the money.

But you really wont get good at marketing until you understand the concept of selling for a greeter good. It’s when you sell not just earn money, but to give someone a solution to his problem.

You have a problem solver and you know that people need it and your job is to sell it to them. Being bad at marketing is even unethical, because you aren’t helping all the people that you could be helping.

You need to use all the emotional triggers to make the person who has a problem to get your solution and improve his life.

It’s not about making money anymore in this level, it’s about helping as much people as possible that are in need of your solution.

Of course, you shouldn’t sell crap that you don’t believe in then it is all about the money, but if you sell solutions then you have to sell them good.

When you have this kind of thinking about selling, it becomes a totally different process. You have to fall in love with selling the the old saying becomes very true.

Do what you love and money will follow.
