When I started out looking for ways to make money online, pretty soon I got introduced to traffic exchanges and safelists. I was surfing for credits and clicking those email ads the whole day and I wasn’t really getting a lot of results, some success here and there, but absolutely nothing consistent. I was a bigger believer in traffic exchanges than safelists, but now I think the opposite.

Eventually, I moved off from using these traffic getting methods and started doing other stuff online like blogging and learning real internet marketing, but now I’m re-discovering the power of safelists. The problem why I wasn’t successful with safelists was that I was doing everything wrong:

• I didn’t send the traffic to a squeeze page. So, I wasn’t building a list and making money from it.
• When I did start sending the traffic to a squeeze page then the problem was I didn’t have a sales funnel and I had no way to monetize my subscribers.
• I wasn’t using the best safelists.
• I wasn’t using safelists regularly.
• I was registered in too many safelists.
• I had unrealistic expectations.

From this list of mistakes you can put a safelist success formula, which goes something like this: Set up a sales funnel that starts with a squeeze page, regularly drive traffic using the safelists that deliver the best results and have realistic expectations about the traffic so you don’t get demotivated. To speed up the things upgrade your safelist accounts.

If you do it like this you are more than likely to start building your list and making some money. The key things is to have a funnel that converts, have realistic expectations about the traffic. Safelist traffic is 10 times less valuable if not more than solo ad traffic. You will have to get a lot of clicks to your squeeze page to get subscribers so you need to send a lot of traffic and do it regularly to keep building your list.

To keep the motivation going, remember that a subscriber in your list is worth $1 per month as an industry standard, if you are just starting and don’t think you are that good at marketing to make $1 per subscriber then cut it in half and say that you earn $0,50 per subscriber, which is also very good. So, every two subscribers are worth a dollar for you.

Use safelists consistently, build your list and eventually you will start making money.
